Permitting Specialist

Full-time Description Green Ridge Solar is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Permitting Specialist to join our growing team. As a key point of for our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of solar projects through our permitting pipeline. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction permitting, preferably within the solar industry. Qualifications: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing software. Solid understanding of construction permitting processes and regulations. Experience with solar permitting is a plus. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different AHJ requirements. Requirements Job Description: The Permiting Specialist is responsible for managing the critical initial stages of our solar installation projects. Your primary duties will include: Setting up jobs within our operational pipeline. Serving as the primary point of contact for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Obtaining all necessary permits from AHJ & Utilities Securing net-metering agreements. Reserving available incentives for qualifying systems. Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of individual AHJ permitting requirements. Coordinating final inspections upon project completion. Distributing project closeout and approval notices to all relevant parties.
