Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Location: Morristown, NJ 07960 Start Date: July 6, 2026 Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and experience managing high-acuity cardiac patients. Previous cardiac surgery experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and post-operative cardiac surgery patients. Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions using advanced critical care skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies. Operate and monitor specialized critical care equipment and technologies. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting. CVICU and/or cardiac surgery experience preferred. Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure Active and unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License required OR Compact State Nursing License.
