We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly within a restaurant, catering, or dietary department setting. As a Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. If you have a love for cooking and a desire to help create delicious meals, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and the development of new recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
• Provide support to dietary aides as necessary during meal preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in roles such as Cook, Dietary Aide, or similar positions is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
• A passion for cooking and providing high-quality meals that meet dietary needs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
