PRIDESTAFF is currently accepting qualified applicants for a Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Technician in Long Beach MS!

This position performs routine maintenance and basic repairs to help keep the facility, tools, and production equipment safe and operating properly. This is a hands-on position for an employee with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge who is willing to learn. The Maintenance Tech follows instructions, completes assigned preventive maintenance, reports problems, and works within training and safety limits. Complex electrical, control, welding, hydraulic, or major equipment repairs are referred to a supervisor or qualified technician.

Required Competencies

• Basic Maintenance Competencies
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, mechanical maintenance, and electrical safety.
• Ability to perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and simple part

replacement.

• Ability to recognize common equipment problems and ask for help when work is beyond

training or authorization.

• Ability to read basic instructions, labels, checklists, and safety information.
• Dependability, clear communication, teamwork, attention to safety, and willingness to

learn.

Safety Competencies

• Hazard identification
• Proper PPE usage
• Compliance with OSHA and plant safety rules
• Emergency response awareness

Role Expectations

• The Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Person performs assigned work safely, carefully,

and on time.

• The employee follows supervisor instructions, approved procedures, and equipment

manuals.

• The employee is expected to handle routine maintenance and basic repairs and to request

qualified support for advanced or hazardous work.

• The employee may perform other reasonable plant-support duties assigned by the

supervisor that are within the employee’s training and safety authorization.

• Lockout/Tagout understanding

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Basic hands-on knowledge of general maintenance, hand tools, and electrical safety.
• Previous production machine maintenance or similar practical experience is helpful.
• No supervisory experience, trade license, welding certification, or advanced electrical

experience is required.

• Must be willing to complete company-provided safety and equipment training and follow

instructions.

• Must be able to safely use common hand tools and perform routine physical machine maintenance

tasks.

• English or Spanish communication skills are acceptable; bilingual ability is helpful.
