Long-Term Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Long-Term Care Nurse to provide compassionate and quality care to residents in a residential setting. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care (LTC) and detailed knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC) for charting and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established standards and practices.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
Document resident assessments, progress notes, and care plans accurately using PCC.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance resident care and well-being.
Manage patient care under pressure while ensuring compliance with facility protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of verifiable travel experience in nursing.
At least 2 years of long-term care nursing experience.
Proficient in using Point Click Care for medical charting.
Must have a valid nursing license.

Work Schedule

The position typically involves 8-hour shifts, with occasional opportunities for 12-hour shifts. Shift times may include:

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, with one holiday off. The specific holiday off will be determined during the orientation process.

Location

This position is located in a vibrant community known for its accessible waterfront, shopping malls, hiking trails, skiing opportunities, and swimming activities. The nearest airport is Burlington International Airport.

Additional Information

Travelers must be flexible and willing to complete facility-level orientation before any requests for time off can be considered. RTO will only be approved if there are no conflicts with scheduled staff time off for the requested dates. Scrub colors are not specified, but jackets and hoodies are not permitted. Therapy animals are not allowed on the premises.
