Candidate will also see patients preparing for discharge from hospitals as needed

Candidate will support patients across all three service locations
Travel throughout the assigned territory is an important part of this position

On Call Expectations
On call responsibilities are specifically related to malfunctioning ventilators or new ventilator setups
This is not general routine patient call coverage
Candidate must be able to respond when ventilator equipment malfunctions or a new ventilator setup is required

Candidates residing within approximately 60 miles of any of the three covered locations may be considered

Candidates must be comfortable traveling throughout the assigned territory

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

RRT or RN candidates may be considered
Candidate must hold appropriate Georgia licensure



Candidate must also hold a South Carolina license or be willing and able to obtain South Carolina licensure
Recruiters should confirm willingness to obtain South Carolina licensure before submission if the candidate does not already hold it

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

Personal vehicle required for field travel
Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Candidate must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling between locations, hospitals, and patient homes

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Active applicable RRT or RN credentials and licensure
Georgia licensure required
South Carolina licensure required or willingness to obtain it
Comfortable providing respiratory care in office, hospital discharge, and home based environments
Comfortable supporting patients using ventilators and noninvasive ventilation
Ability to respond to ventilator malfunctions and new ventilator setups during assigned on call periods
Ability to independently conduct field based patient visits
Strong patient and caregiver education skills
Ability to travel throughout Garden City, Statesboro, Vidalia, and surrounding service areas

RECRUITING NOTES

RRT and RN candidates are eligible for consideration
Previous DME experience is a plus but is not required
can train the right clinician
Familiarity with noninvasive ventilators, NIVs, is particularly helpful
Candidates must either hold both Georgia and South Carolina licensure or be willing to obtain the required South Carolina license
The position supports three locations: Garden City, Statesboro, and Vidalia
Candidates may live within approximately 60 miles of any of the three locations

OVERVIEW

Seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse to provide respiratory and home healthcare support throughout Garden City, Statesboro, Vidalia, and surrounding areas.

This position combines office-based clinical responsibilities with home visits and hospital discharge support. The clinician will work directly with patients using ventilators, oxygen therapy, noninvasive ventilation, and other respiratory equipment while providing education and ongoing clinical support.

Conduct patient assessments and provide clinical education on respiratory equipment
Conduct home visits throughout the assigned service territory
Support patients preparing for discharge from hospitals
Provide respiratory equipment education to patients and caregivers
Support patients utilizing ventilators, oxygen therapy, NIV, and other advanced respiratory equipment
Adjust ventilator settings based on patient needs, physician orders, and applicable clinical procedures
Monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
Respond to malfunctioning ventilators during assigned on call coverage
Assist with new ventilator setups when required
Maintain accurate documentation of services and patient interactions
Provide ongoing telephone support and follow up care for respiratory patients
Communicate patient needs and relevant clinical findings to physicians and other members of the care team
Travel throughout the assigned Georgia service territory using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement
Support training and orientation of clinical staff when needed
Perform other duties consistent with applicable licensure and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required
Active applicable RRT or RN credentials required
Active Georgia licensure required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
Regular driving throughout the assigned field territory
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen for extended periods
Regular contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
Close vision required for documentation, computer screens, tablets, and equipment
Must comply with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy
Medical evaluation and fit testing required
Annual recertification required
Must meet OSHA requirements for proper N95 mask seal
