Job Description
Pathologists' Assistant

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30. No weekends or call required.

Assignment Details

Duration of approximately 4 months, starting ideally on January 4, 2027.

Requirements

• Active New York State license for Pathologists' Assistant.
• Certification from ASCP as a Pathologists' Assistant.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens.
• Prepare tissues for histological processing and sectioning.
• Cut and stain frozen sections.
• Triage fresh tissue for lymphoma workups.
• Identify glomeruli in medical renal cores.
