Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a paraprofessional, educational aide, or in a similar support role within schools
• Ability to follow teacher direction and implement instructional activities
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with students of diverse abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate’s degree preferred
• Capability to assist with classroom management and support special education needs as directed
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school policies

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction by assisting teachers with lesson preparation and implementation
• Provide individual or small group academic support to students as needed
• Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, and recess settings to ensure a safe learning environment
• Assist with record keeping, data collection, and other administrative tasks
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans under the guidance of special education staff
• Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required
