Logistics Support Specialist

Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Support Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Support Specialist,you will be an essential part of the operations support team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination for shipments and customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Support Specialist

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Range: $23.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 0830-1700 (30 min lunch)

What's the Job?

• Communicate information to operations and sales personnel regarding shipments requiring special handling.

• Advise customers, sales personnel, and station management on the current status of all shipments.

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests for shipment status, routings, "Paid-On-Delivery" charges, or other inquiries.

• Coordinate with sales and customers to develop customer-specific standard operating procedures.

• Assist in customer service and perform other duties as assigned.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED

• Less than one year of related experience

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications

• Accurate typing and data entry skills

• Ability to interpret documents and write routine correspondence
