The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in rubber compounding, chemical analysis, physical/mechanical testing, management and consulting in various segments of the rubber industry. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment interacting with customers on the phone, in‑person and via email. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, required; candidates with degrees in engineering (Chemical, Materials, and/or Polymer, preferred) and candidates with related science concentrations (Chemistry and/or Physics) will also be considered. At least three years of relevant experience in formulations and compounding environment; candidates with co‑op/internship experience and/or experience in the rubber/plastics industry preferred. Responsibilities Developing, maintaining, analyzing chemical compound formulations and properties as well as chemical interactions. Reducing overall material cost and waste through formulation and process improvements. Writing manufacturing specifications for compounds, materials, and mixing instructions. Providing technical support to the Quality organization and to various customers to ensure their product performance requirements are met.
