National Technician Certification preferred* Previous Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plus.* Knowledge of FrameworkLTC a plus.**Responsibilities****May participate in one or more of the following activities:*** Prepare prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and at times mixing medication.* Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.* Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensure their security.* Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate.* Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards.* Prepack medications using unit dose sealers.* Monitor/document prepack product expiration dates and lot numbers appropriately.* Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.* Assist in automated compliance packaging dispensing process* Assist in Narcotic Room activities to prepare Controlled Substance prescriptions according to Long Term Care Standards and Pharmacy Policy and Procedures.* Assist in preparing non-sterile compounded products.* Assist in preparing sterile compounded products after appropriate training.* Enter medication orders into pharmacy operating system.
