Senior Communications Specialist

TeleSolv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as a Senior Communications Specialist. This position is an on-site position in Washington, DC/Ashburn, VA. Department: Federal Services Location: Ashburn, VA Responsibilities Assist in developing, updating, and publishing program/organizational materials, design and distribute them for internal and external audiences Assist in maintaining a vibrant and active social media presence on selected platforms to create a substantial online presence Assist in maintaining the program and organizational websites so they remain compelling and current Assist in developing communications plans and manage internal program/organizational communications Support media relations efforts including development and distribution of story ideas, press releases and media interviews Assist in responding appropriately to media inquiries which may include developing key talking points for the leadership team Support writing/tracking/reporting for grants Minimum Qualifications U.S. Citizen Active Top-Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in mass-communications, business, or related field At least eight (8) years specialized experience; or ten (10) years general experience General experience is experience gained in an office setting Specialized experience must include, at least, three (3) years in communication and analysis experience and two (2) years of specialized experience in supporting the messaging of complex business functions or programs and providing challenging and professional deliverables, products, and services on multiple social media, and communications platforms About TeleSolv Join the TeleSolv Team on our mission to provide quality and unparalleled service to our clients. Background Investigation This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories.
