As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Mc Lean, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating entry procedures in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Support daily operations by observing lobby and entrance activity, answering phones and/or directing inquiries, and documenting routine events, unusual activity, and security-related incidents.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions through attentive front desk presence, consistent application of post orders, and timely communication with store and/or location personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
