Cybersecurity Architect

Job Title: Cybersecurity Architect Location: Rosemead, CA Duration: 12 Months Pay range: $120/Hr to $140/Hr on W2 Job Description: We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to partner across IT, engineering, product, and security teams to design and guide secure solutions across enterprise environments (on-prem, hybrid, SaaS, and cloud). This role focuses on translating business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure architectures and standards. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted cybersecurity architecture SME across enterprise technology domains Translate business needs into security architectures, standards, and design patterns Design and maintain security reference architectures and guardrails (IAM, network, app, data, endpoint, logging, remote access) Perform security architecture and design reviews; document risks, decisions, and remediation guidance Define measurable and testable security requirements (without owning delivery) Partner with cybersecurity technology teams to shape roadmaps and capability improvements Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and architecture documentation Required Qualifications: 10+ years in IT / Information Security / Cybersecurity Strong experience designing enterprise security architectures Hands-on knowledge of IAM, MFA, encryption, logging/monitoring, vulnerability management Experience working with engineering teams in iterative delivery models Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear architecture artifacts Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field 3+ years of cloud security experience Experience with hybrid environments, Zero Trust, PAM, and DevSecOps Familiarity with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and audit/compliance initiatives Proven ability to influence without authority About ASK: ASK Consulting is an award-winning technology and professional services recruiting firm servicing Fortune 500 organizations nationally.
