Position Overview

We have two Manufacturing Process Engineer openings within a growing manufacturing organization:

• Spartanburg, SC Process Engineer
• Winder, GA Process Engineer II
  
  
  
  

The Process Engineer will play a key technical and operational role in the expansion and optimization of a manufacturing facility. This position will serve as a technical liaison between project teams and plant operations during the introduction of major production assets and will transition into full process ownership once the equipment is operational.

The role provides an opportunity to work across capital projects, equipment startup, manufacturing operations, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement .

Winder, GA Additional Information

The Winder, GA Process Engineer II will require travel during approximately the first 6 months of the role.

The Winder facility is preparing to launch a new blowing wool manufacturing line in 2027 . During the initial phase, the Process Engineer will travel to other manufacturing plants that already operate this type of production line to gain hands-on experience and support the implementation.

Once the new line is fully operational, regular travel is expected to end .

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical and operational liaison between project teams and plant operations.
• Support the expansion and development of manufacturing operations.
• Participate in the implementation and startup of major production equipment and manufacturing assets.
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and transition to production.
• Take ownership of manufacturing processes once equipment becomes operational.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost .
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Support process control architecture, tuning, and optimization.
• Work closely with plant operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and project teams.
• Support capital projects and ensure new equipment/processes are properly integrated into plant operations.
• Apply Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to address process issues.
• Develop and maintain process knowledge across existing and new manufacturing assets.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Support the facility in achieving reliable, efficient, and consistent manufacturing performance.
  
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial continuous-process manufacturing , preferably in a Process Engineering capacity.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing process troubleshooting .
• Experience with process control architecture and tuning .
• Experience with Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies .
• Experience supporting equipment startups, commissioning, or major capital projects .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with plant operations and cross-functional technical teams.
