Compensation Analyst

Maintain and update employee compensation data in the HR information system (HRIS) Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies Prepare reports on compensation trends and analysis for management review Conduct salary surveys and research industry compensation benchmarks Analyze market data to identify salary gaps and recommend adjustments Prepare presentations summarizing market insights for leadership Process salary changes, including merit increases, promotions, and performance‑based adjustments Collaborate with HR Business Partners to determine salary ranges for new positions Calculate and administer cost‑of‑living and other salary adjustments Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations Monitor and update compensation practices as regulations change Assist with job evaluations, job grading, and salary positioning Review and update job descriptions Generate reports on compensation metrics, including average salary, salary distribution, and pay equity Analyze compensation data to identify trends and recommend adjustments Support employees and managers with compensation‑related inquiries Collaborate with HR team members to integrate compensation practices with other HR functions Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of experience in compensation administration or related HR role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office location Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Ability to climb stairs Ability to perform light work, including adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in compensation administration, including data analysis, compliance with compensation laws, and collaboration with HR teams. Proficient in utilizing HRIS and Microsoft Excel to manage and report on compensation data effectively.
