Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based in Ann Arbor, MI and supports patients within the University of Michigan’s clinical care setting. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, care planning, implementation of nursing interventions, and evaluation of outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient status, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and documenting care in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards. The role also involves patient and family education, participation in quality and safety initiatives, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices and infection control protocols. The Registered Nurse collaborates with colleagues to optimize patient experience, support continuity of care, and uphold the mission and values of the University of Michigan. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan and graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care planning in an acute or ambulatory care environment. Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and adherence to safety and infection control standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and education of patients and families. Ability to use electronic health records and basic clinical technologies effectively and accurately. Commitment to patient-centered care, compassion, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Experience with evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous learning; specialty certification is a plus.
