Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse

Job Summary As our Telemetry Nurse at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, you’ll monitor patients’ vitals such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rhythms, and respiration, and explain test results to patients and families to support informed decisions. You will work with doctors and clinical specialists to continuously monitor patients who require cardiac monitoring, building trust and applying your knowledge in real‑time to provide solutions. Responsibilities Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry levels. Quickly report and address changes in patient condition. Explain test results and procedures patiently and thoroughly to patients and family members. Educate patients on post‑hospital care, including prescribed medication, care maintenance, and prevention. Minimum Qualifications ADN, Diploma, BSN, or foreign equivalent. Current Arizona State RN license in good standing. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of medical/surgical or acute experience. Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, including intra‑aortic balloon pump skills. Benefits & Compensation $35.00 - $58.63 per hour. Full‑time employees may also qualify for an Education Benefit program after 180 days, providing up to $18,000 over five years. Part‑time employees can receive up to $9,000.
