The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.Shifts Include: Part-Time 24-30 hours per week. We offer competitive wages and exciting company resources.Responsibilities:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premisesCirculate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect propertyGuard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rulesEnforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistanceEscort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer propertyWrite detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMonitor for irregular or unusual activitySecure facility and designated areasEnforce facility and company policies and proceduresInvestigate and prepare reports on incidentsQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent18+ years of ageMust be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident equivalent to 5 or more years.Must be registered in the Military Selective ServicesMust have one (1) year of experience as a security officerMust have open availability to work all shifts and schedulesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Clean driving record and valid driver licenseCapable of following complex instructionsStrong interpersonal skillsWillingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.Knowledge of security operations and proceduresCertification RequirementsPPSB Security LicenseEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaAdditional Information / BenefitsPaid Holidays401K/403b PlanWeekly PayShort Term DisabilityDental InsurancePaid VacationLong Term DisabilityPaid Sick DaysVision InsuranceMedical InsuranceLife Insurance
