Traveling Retail Merchandiser

Position Overview:
As a Traveling Merchandiser, you'll service multiple retail locations-and at times beyond-supporting large-scale resets, merchandising initiatives, and store projects. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with store leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel extensively (80-100%), including overnight and multi-state trips
• Execute merchandising resets, planogram (POG) compliance, and product placement
• Install fixtures and complete light inventory tasks
• Capture detailed before-and-after photos of completed work
• Check and replenish backstock as needed
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies or display issues
• Communicate professionally with store managers during every visit
• Submit accurate reports and photos through company mobile apps or systems

Qualifications

• Previous retail merchandising or reset experience preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret visual instructions and planograms
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a flexible schedule independently
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable using mobile apps and reporting tools.

Experience in the following is a plus!

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and store layouts.
• Understanding of fixture placement, store flow, and merchandising standards.
• Knowledge of retail fixtures, components, and hardware used in store resets.
• Ability to safely lift, move, assemble, and disassemble retail fixtures.
• Experience installing gondolas, shelving systems, and retail fixtures.
• Understanding of store layouts, fixture mapping, and retail space planning.
