Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – Asheville, North Carolina

Start Date: September 4, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 6-week rotating schedule with 3 weekend requirements per cycle; self-scheduling available

Highlights:

• 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• Work with a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and recipient of an "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
• Experience diverse case mix including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, central line care, ICP monitoring, and trach care
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record and Alaris pump technology
• May float to Pediatrics and NICU to support critical care services across the continuum
• Join a facility serving as the region's referral center for Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III NICU

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license (or ability to obtain)
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
• Competency in IV starts, catheterization, LP assistance, central line dressing changes, tube feeding and placement, and critical care procedures
