Senior Java Developer

Project Description:

• Development of a margin calculation platform for one of the Top Investment Banks.
• The project team is lean and agile and is distributed across the UK, Tampa, New York and Warsaw.
• Were looking for a Java Developer for our margin terms and workflow management system built with a Java-based technology stack on the backend and Angular frameworks on the frontend.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and delivering backend application components on time and with high quality;
• Proactive involvement in the global development process;

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Strong knowledge and 6+ years of experience in the full life-cycle of software development processes, including data analysis, architecture design, coding and testing;
• Proficiency in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems including Spring, JMS, JPA (Hibernate);
• Ability to work independently without supervision in a global environment;
• Upper-intermediate English, good communication skills;
• Knowledge and experience in databases (Oracle preferred, MSSQL/Sybase OK)

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven;
• Familiarity with continuous integration;
• Understanding of REST and its best practices

• English: B2 Upper Intermediate
