Overview

Our organization, dedicated to Women's Health, is comprised of skilled Physicians who possess the expertise necessary to deliver obstetric and gynecological care tailored to the specific age groups of our patients.

Located in Hamden, CT, our practice, Comprehensive Gynecology of CT, is currently in search of a full-time Physician to join our OB/GYN team. The existing medical staff includes three Physicians, two Certified Nurse Midwives, and one Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). All full-time Physicians share on-call duties equally. Our practice has a partnership with Yale New Haven Hospital.

Applicants should be capable of diagnosing patient conditions and providing suitable treatment options. A solid understanding of fetal growth and development principles is essential, along with the ability to recognize and categorize the specific needs of patients based on their age.

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather patient medical information, including health history and examination results.
• Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Educate and counsel patients on adherence to prescribed treatment plans, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional challenges, and health maintenance.
• Develop and implement management plans for patients, monitor hospitalized individuals as necessary, document progress notes, and ensure continuity of care.
• Achieve proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Submit billing at the time of the office visit.

• Experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Board certified or board eligible
• Valid Connecticut medical license
• Federal and State controlled substance licenses
• BLS certification
• Eligibility for hospital privileges
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), active listening, and customer service abilities
