Accounts Receivable SpecialistBusiness Office - Northbrook, IL 60062OverviewSalary Range $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Education Level 2 Year Degree Category AccountingDescriptionPosition: Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: NorthbrookSupervisor: Finance DirectorSchedule: Monday through Friday / 9:00 am to 5:00 pmPosition Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports Keshet's day-to-day receivable and billing operations, helping maintain accurate financial records while providing excellent customer service to families and community partners.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesProcess and post payments, tuition, donations, and program revenue accuratelyMaintain accounts receivable records and assist with collections follow-upPrepare bank deposits and assist with monthly reconciliations and reportingSupport billing for programs, school districts, and state agenciesAssist families with payment plans and financial assistance processesCollaborate with Finance, Development, and Program teams to ensure accurate records across systemsProvide timely, professional, and compassionate communication with families, donors, and stakeholdersSupport audits, month-end processes, and other finance-related projects as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent in AccountingExperience in accounts receivable (or accounts payable)Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.Any knowledge in the following systems would be helpful: QuickBooks, Donor Perfect Online (Fundraising), Therap (Adult program billing), ROCS (state billing system), FACTS Management (tuition collection + assistance application), CampMinder (Camp inTouch) – registration + paymentsKeshet offers a robust Employee Benefit Program which includes:Affordable healthcare plansDentalVisionShort-term and long-term disabilityLife insurance401k plan with employer matching contributionsHoliday PayPaid Sick TimePTOTuition reimbursementAbout KeshetKeshet is a one-of-a-kind organization that brings classroom experiences, camps, sports, residential, social, and vocational activities for 600 people with disabilities each year.
