Middlesex Health is seeking a full-time day hospitalist to join our established Hospital Medicine team in Middletown, Connecticut.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for a predictable 7 on/7 off schedule, a supportive and collaborative practice environment, and a hospitalist role with a closed ICU and no required procedures.

About the Role

As a hospitalist at Middlesex Health, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care while working closely with specialists, nursing, case management, and other members of the care team.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily rounding and management of hospitalized patients
• Admissions and discharges
• Inpatient consultations
• Participation in Rapid Response Teams and Codes
• Pre-operative medical assessments
• Co-management of surgical patients
• Collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary teams to provide efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O.
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Connecticut medical license
• DEA and Connecticut controlled-substance registration
• Previous attending-level hospitalist experience preferred
