Patient Transport Driver

In this position, the Patient Transport Driver is responsible for the transportation of radiation oncology patients around the Big Horn Basin to the Cancer Center for their treatments round trip. The driver is responsible for cleaning and servicing the vehicle, record maintenance, and assisting with scheduling trips.

High school diploma or equivalent. Working experience as a driver preferred.

Good driving skills are essential. Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Ability to work a flexible schedule, and travel is required. Exhibit high moral standards to reflect the attitude of the facility. Exhibit personal conduct in accordance with the behavior standards expected of a leader. Has the ability to work cooperatively with employees and administrative staff. Exhibit personal hygiene and appearance, including attire, which reflects professional stature. Communication skills, conflict resolution skills and tact are important. Judgement must include the ability to make rapid, accurate short and long-term decisions under pressure. Must be highly motivated and exhibit a positive attitude towards the mission of their department and the facility as a whole. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must possess the ability to work independently and as a team player. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, visitors, and the public. Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other department personnel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

BLS (AHA); Clean active drivers license.

Transports patients to destination and back. Arranges all vehicle maintenance and related documentation. Maintains all safety equipment, and ensures all safety requirements of operating the vehicle are met. Assists with patient scheduling. Performs other duties as assigned.

Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required. Contributes to a positive work environment that is supportive of co-workers and patients needs. Dependability in reporting for work as scheduled and on-time.
