Accounting Manager - Revenue & Settlements

Position Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Revenue & Settlements to lead the revenue accounting and settlement functions for a growing organization in the energy industry. This individual will manage a team of 4-5 accounting professionals and oversee all aspects of revenue recognition, invoicing, customer receivables, and settlement activities. The Manager will play a critical role in the monthly close process, compliance reporting, and contract review, ensuring adherence to ASC 606.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team that handles billing, revenue tracking, and customer payments
Make sure revenue numbers are accurate and completed on time each month
Oversee property accounting activities, including tracking property-related revenues and expenses, reviewing balances, and ensuring all property transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger
Work on the Technical Accounting team to assess new customer contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment under ASC 606
Help with special projects, system changes, and other requests as they come up

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
Minimum of 5 years of revenue accounting or relevant experience
At least 3 years of experience managing or leading direct reports
Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
Experience in the energy or renewables industry
Big 4 technical accounting experience
