TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40207!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PACU RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience, pre-op experience is a plus Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. Promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education is essential. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of a recognized Model of Care, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN emphasizes patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN uses educational and professional experiences to deliver quality care and mentor staff. Responsibilities include performing assessments and re-assessments as warranted by patient condition, demonstrating the ability to make sound independent decisions. The RN initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions are critical. The RN facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education tailored to patient and family needs during their stay and at discharge. Leadership responsibilities include delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel, functioning as a mentor/preceptor, and demonstrating teamwork. Identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement is essential. Participation in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and compliance with regulatory standards is required. The RN participates in the Practice Governance model. Required skills include acute care nursing, patient assessment, care plan development, clinical intervention monitoring, and patient and family education. Additional skills include mentoring, teamwork, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
