Built by a team of experts in both automotive and consumer technology, Pebble combines electrification with cutting‑edge automotive technology for a travel trailer experience that removes the hassles RV trailer owners have struggled with for decades. Responsibilities Develop and lead the hydraulic and fluids system for Pebble vehicles. Develop and execute innovative vehicle design concepts, from initial concept to production implementation, using strong knowledge and understanding of engineering and hydrodynamics principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, compliance and quality standards while aligning with project timelines and budget constraints. Leverage fluid calculation and analysis, including CAE and CFD, to optimize and validate the system design and engineering, ensuring it meets the functional and performance requirements. Develop, create and manage the design and engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, diagrams, schematics, routings, specifications, and Bill of Materials, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information is available for the project team. Continuously research and stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and materials in the vehicle industry, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the company's product portfolio. Lead design reviews, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to ensure a high level of product quality and functionality. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to address technical issues and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor's, or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle/Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Vehicle industry knowledge and experience is a plus. 5-10 years of experience in automotive, trucks, or buses, or recreational vehicle fields, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful products. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and design analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermal processes, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards related to vehicle design and development. Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present technical information to various audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, startup environment. Self‑starter, versatile, hands‑on and accomplishments driven.
