The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.Morenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. Our dedicated Parks and Recreation Division plans activities for people of all ages, making sure there's something for everyone to enjoy.What You Will DoAssist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated Engineering projects and programs at assigned site.Assist in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projectsParticipate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projectsAdminister contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipmentDevelop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to area of assignmentPerform other duties as requiredWhat You Bring To FreeportBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with no experience requiredKnowledge of the principles and practices of EngineeringAble to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPreferred QualificationsAdvanced Degree or Professional Engineering (PE) CertificationKnowledge and experience of power systems engineering including equipment design and specification, installation, testing and commissioning of industrial power systemsKnowledge and experience of power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and Arc flash study and MitigationKnowledge and experience with electrical equipment used in process plants including experience with reading One lines & electric schematicsKnowledge and experience with AutoCAD, SKM and Relay software (Enervista, Acselerator Quickset)Self-motivated with excellent work ethicProficiency in MS Office What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
