COMPENSATION: Base salary to $165K, plus discretionary bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and 401(k).

Join a leading AmLaw 100 law firm as an Assistant Manager, Client Intake & Conflicts, supporting the Office of the General Counsel and Conflicts department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conflicts professional ready to take the next step into a management and team leadership role.

The Assistant Manager will oversee day-to-day client intake and conflicts workflows, support the clearance of new business, and serve as a key resource to attorneys, Firm leadership, and the Conflicts team. The role will also provide leadership, training, and mentoring to Conflicts Analysts while helping drive process improvements, data quality, and technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong law firm conflicts experience, excellent judgment and attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment.

Responsibilities For Assistant Manager, Client Intake & Conflicts

• Oversee day-to-day new business intake and conflicts clearance processes, ensuring client and matter information is complete, accurate, and processed timely
• Serve as a resource to attorneys, staff, and Firm leadership regarding conflicts, intake requirements, and related policies and procedures
• Review and resolve complex or escalated conflicts and intake issues, exercising sound judgment and escalating matters when appropriate
• Generate and review conflicts reports, respond to urgent inquiries, and establish and maintain ethical walls
• Monitor team workflows, prioritize incoming requests, and help ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently met
• Train, mentor, and provide day-to-day guidance to Conflicts Analysts, including onboarding, research methodologies, Firm policies, systems, and best practices
• Partner with department leadership on data quality initiatives, workflow enhancements, technology implementations, and process improvements
• Develop and maintain new business intake and conflicts procedures, training materials, and documentation

Qualifications For Assistant Manager, Client Intake & Conflicts

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of legal conflicts experience within a large law firm or similarly complex legal environment required
• Prior experience as a Senior Conflicts Analyst, Lead Analyst, Assistant Manager, or in a comparable leadership capacity strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience training, mentoring, and/or providing day-to-day guidance to junior team members
• Experience with automated new business intake and conflicts management systems, including Intapp Conflicts and/or Intapp Open
• Knowledge of corporate affiliation and business entity research databases, including experience interpreting corporate structures, legal entity relationships, and complex conflicts data
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication, judgment, discretion, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
