Job Summary and Responsibilities Dignity Health Medical Group - Dominican is seeking a motivated Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our patient-centered organization in Santa Cruz, CA! As our Hematologist & Oncologist, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group - Dominican, a physician-led, patient-centered organization in Santa Cruz, CA. This is a unique opportunity for a driven physician to lead and grow an established oncology program within our Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accredited program at the Mary & Richard Solari Cancer Center.
You will provide expert hematology and oncology care with significant autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility. This role offers Program Leadership Potential, allowing you to serve as a foundational physician leader, influence clinical protocols, mentor staff, and cultivate a high-performing culture centered around the multidisciplinary approach of the Solari Cancer Center. You will lead weekly Tumor Boards, participate in multidisciplinary rounds for our 17-bed inpatient oncology unit, and collaborate with leadership to shape clinical protocols and expand oncology service lines. The co-located Solari Infusion Center, with its 15 private bays, ensures modern treatment delivery, while resources like nurse navigators, social workers, a pharmacy liaison, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and 24/7 anesthesia coverage provide an integrated support team. To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated Board Certified/Eligible Hematologist & Oncologist passionate about fostering a positive culture and delivering high-quality care to our coastal community. We are offering a highly competitive compensation package, including a competitive base salary of $550k annually. Productivity and quality bonus eligibility can bring total on-target earnings up to $750,000. You will also receive a generous Sign-On Bonus, Relocation Assistance, and a CME Allowance. Your comprehensive benefits package includes 100% Employer Paid Medical & Dental Benefits, a robust Retirement Program, and generous Time Away. - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
- Active or eligible license in the state of California
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
