MTK Healthcare is actively seeking skilled Surgical Technologists for a 13-week contract opportunity with Vail Health Hospital in Vail, Colorado.


Position Details
Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Vail, Colorado
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Rotating (3x12 schedule)
Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week

Role Overview
The Surgical Technologist will assist in surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and efficient operating room workflow under the direction of a Registered Nurse.


Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile and aseptic techniques during surgical procedures
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures
• Support patient transport, room setup, and turnover
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• Active Colorado Surgical Technologist License (Required)
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
• Knowledge of AORN standards and sterile techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
