Facility Address: 5901 E 7 th St, Long Beach, CA 90822ICU ResponsibilitiesProviding professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to assess needs of patients.Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognized adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to reach promptly in emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures.Provide counseling, guidance, and health instruction to patients.Identify disease entities in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required.Provide professional nursing duties according to the established professional nursing principles, practices, and procedures in an ICU setting, assessing patient's physical, emotional, spiritual, and sociocultural needs.Demonstrate skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served; provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.Perform head-to-toe assessments, insert IV lines, care and management of peripheral and central lines, including PICC lines, obtain and delivery specimens to lab, perform tracheostomy care, assess for and administer tube feedings, respond and assist in an emergency situation.QualificationsCandidates must posses a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision -OR- possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least on full year of nursing experience -OR- possess a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing.Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rice, or a Territory of the United States.Must have a minimum of one year experience within the last three years.Current BLS and ACLS certification as approved by the American Heart Association.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
