Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts - 2 days, 1 night per week, totaling 36 hours/week.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery will demonstrate clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process effectively. This role is responsible for assessing patient conditions, establishing care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating the outcomes for high-risk pregnancies which include, but are not limited to, preterm labor, high blood pressure, diabetes, VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section), and prenatal testing. Responsibilities also encompass childbirth education classes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify patient problems and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify plans as necessary.
• Provide pre and post-care support to patients.
• Facilitate effective communication and education regarding childbirth and maternal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery / OB experience.
• Experience in fetal monitoring.
• Previous travel nurse experience is highly preferred.
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP.
• Valid RN license required.
