Job Duties And Other Information
Job Duties: The Registered Dietitian also:
- Directs the dietary department personnel in all major activities and everyday job duties and responsibilities.
- Inspects and monitors kitchen and dining facilities using tools such as a sanitation checklist to ensure cleanliness and proper operation of equipment.
- Visits residents, conducts nutrition risk evaluations, documents nutrition information in the medical records, and updates assessments in a timely manner.
- Attends care plan meetings.
- Creates and utilizes production schedules to track meals served, menus, and leftovers to maximize productivity.
- Monitors and controls the monthly food costs. Prepares annual budget estimates. Maintains records of all transactions and budget items. Reviews and certifies monthly inventories.
- Performs other related duties as required.
