Center Director
LAPRC
The Center Director (CD) oversees the execution of ministry strategies as they apply to the local center(s) to which they have been assigned. The essential functions of the CD are fundraising and development, community relations, team management, and general operations. We are looking for someone to work part-time, between 18-28 hours to fulfill the role.
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Supervises: FACE Committee, center staff and volunteers
Remote Work Expectations: The Center Director is allowed to work offsite up to 20% of their budgeted hours, and is expected to follow the LAPRC Remote Work policy guidelines. Scheduled donor meetings, speaking engagements or running errands for the center is not considered remote work.
Qualifications: Applicant should have the following qualifications:
- Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in actions and attitudes, showing evidence of spiritual maturity.
- Exhibits a strong commitment and dedication to the Gospel and to the sanctity of human life, affirming life and never referring or advising a woman to have an abortion.
- Display a readiness and willingness to share the Gospel in word and deed, engaging in spiritual conversations and discipleship opportunities.
- Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement and direction for staff, volunteers and clients.
- Agree with and uphold the LAPRC Mission, as well as all corporate statements and policies of LAPRC.
- Proficient use of computers and software to complete tasks.
- Self-motivated; ability to carry out responsibilities independently.
- Demonstrate the corporate values of Faith, Integrity, Excellence, Respect, and Compassion.
- Experience in management and fundraising is preferred.
- Exhibit strong skills in organization and time management.
- Ability to build, manage and maintain healthy teams.
- Education: A minimum of a high school education or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, preferably in a related field, or related experience equivalent in the field.
Development/Fundraising and Community Relations - 50% of hours worked
- Oversee the planning and execution of annual fundraising events (Change for HOPE, WALK, and Annual Fundraising Banquet) to achieve or exceed annual income goal.
- Build and utilize local Fundraising And Community Extension (FACE) Committee.
- Develop positive relationships with donors through emails, letters, phone calls and in-person meetings.
- Work with the CEO and COO to identify and engage key donors for major gift potential.
- Continually represent LAPRC in the community and at churches with integrity and authenticity.
- Maintain consistent and accurate branding as you represent LAPRC in the community using ministry approved One Language.
- Supervise paid staff through weekly or biweekly coaching calls and quarterly reviews.
- Hold regularly scheduled staff meetings (no less than 2 per month).
- Recruit, encourage and equip a strong and healthy team of volunteers to assist in all areas of responsibility; hold quarterly volunteer meetings.
- Develop goals and analyze outcomes asking the question - Where can change make the greatest impact?
- Provide spiritual encouragement to the local team, readily available to pray and share biblical truth.
- Manage the annual expense budget and monthly reports from the CFO; communicate with your team.
- Ensure the distribution of approved promotional materials (brochures, posters, etc).
- Oversee local client marketing; work as a team to pursue local opportunities to inform and engage potential at-risk clients.
- Facilitate the execution of medical programming through collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
- Ensure the execution of best practices with non-medical programming.
- Oversee maintenance of property and non-medical equipment.
- Oversee the ordering/purchasing of needed supplies.
- Implement and ensure compliance of LAPRC policy and procedures with staff and volunteers; oversight of local risk management.
- Facilitate the execution of donation processing and receipting to meet criteria set by the CFO.
- Attend all required LAPRC staff meetings (virtual and in-person).
• The COO will evaluate the CD quarterly and annually through the use of the LAPRC performance form
