Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and blueprint interpretation will ensure that all parts meet strict quality standards. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precise components.
• Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software to ensure accurate machining operations.
• Perform manual machining tasks using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
• Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes to verify measurements and adherence to tolerances using GD&T principles.
• Maintain machine setup by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and tooling offsets; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure safety standards are followed during all machining activities and maintain a clean work environment.

MUST Skills

• Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
• Strong understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Experience with manufacturing processes involving metal machining, grinding, boring, and manual machining techniques.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring instruments for quality control.
• Ability to set up machines efficiently while ensuring precision measurement in machining tasks.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; understanding of CNC G-code programming for quality assurance.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and assembly procedures related to machining operations.
• Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances required in manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
