Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Buyer 1 to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

In this role, you'll manage a defined set of commodities by supporting sourcing initiatives, cost-reduction efforts, and data-driven recommendations in partnership with buyers, managers, and subject-matter experts. You'll track and report progress, validate system data, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and prepare accurate, timely presentations to support strategic decisions.

A Day in the Life:

• Negotiates and establishes commodity pricing; develops and executes strategic sourcing plans to support cost-reduction goals.
• Evaluates and compares suppliers to recommend the most competitive sourcing options based on cost, quality, and requirements.
• Partners with engineers, end users, and stakeholders to understand commodity specifications and business needs.
• Plans, implements, tracks, and validates cost-reduction initiatives and manages cost changes in collaboration with leadership.
• Establishes and manages contracts, purchase orders, and purchasing records.
• Coordinates cross-functional and supplier activities to ensure compliance and issue resolution.
• Maintains accurate purchasing data and reporting, analyzes progress toward department goals, and initiates mitigation actions as needed.

Who We're Looking for:

Required:

• 0-2 years of related experience in a professional business atmosphere.
• Bachelor's degree in a business major (i.e. Finance, SCM, Marketing) or related discipline (i.e. Engineering).
• Strong MS Excel experience including VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables.
• Ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills, MI.
