We’ve partnered with a well-established, growth-oriented public accounting firm that is intentionally evolving how tax work gets done with a strong emphasis on quality, clarity, and sustainability.

This role is designed for a solid Tax Senior ready to step into a Tax Manager role, or a seasoned Manager who is tired of the stereotypical, always-done-it-that-way, old-school CPA firm grind. This role will allow you to spend your time on what matters most and brings the most value to the firm and to your clients -  review, planning, strategy, and leading a strong tax team , not grinding through compliance or living in client meetings all day.

This is a true strategic leadership role focused on:

• Being the "face of the firm" with your book of business

• Reviewing complex individual, business, and entity returns

• Reviewing tax strategies and planning work prepared by the team

• Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper application of tax law

• Acting as a technical resource and mentor to other tax professionals

The firm values deep technical expertise, but not at the expense of your ability to engage and interact with clients on a consistent basis.

• Lead the interaction and interface with clients on a consistent basis

• Review federal and state tax returns for accuracy and technical soundness

• Review tax plans and strategies and ensure proper execution

• Provide mentoring, training, guidance and feedback to tax staff and senior associates

• Serve as a technical reviewer and second set of eyes on complex matters

• Collaborate internally with leadership on process improvement and risk mitigation

• Drive successful client outcomes through consistent interaction and advisory meetings with clients

• CPA or EA designation - or at least in process

• Significant experience in public accounting tax, i.e. 4+ years overall experience. If not currently a manager, definite hands-on experience handling review work, client interaction and supervising team members

• Outgoing personality with a passion for having consistent "face-time" with clients. This IS NOT  a "back-of-the-house" role. Your desire to be front and center with clients is critical to your success in this role.
