We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems. All work must adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Additionally, the role involves performing maintenance on building equipment such as air compressors, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems.

• Ensure all work adheres to safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout.

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment like air compressors, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.

• Inspect and ensure maintenance tasks performed by others are completed accurately and timely.

• Communicate regularly with Facilities Manager and Operations leaders/team members about repair work status and operational impacts.

• Facilitate clear shift handoffs and smooth transition of work to the next shift.

• Lead and perform project work to support daily warehouse operations; coordinate work of others as necessary.

• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with third-party vendors.

• Train maintenance team members as needed.

• Maintain CMMS, work orders, and inventory management.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical, facilities maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.

• Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

• Experience with conveyor systems and powered industrial equipment.

• Ability to use hand tools effectively.

• Driver's License (Preferred)

• Black Seal NJ Boiler License (Preferred)

• NJ Electrical License (Preferred)

• NJ HVAC License (Preferred)

• EPA Technician 608 Certification (Preferred)

This is a Contract position based out of Secaucus, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
