Software Engineer/Developer

Overview OPSSENTINEL has an opening for a Software Engineer/Developer in support of various lab systems in Englewood, CO. The successful candidate will be required to function as an integral member of a highly proficient and technically competent team of System Engineers and will have expertise in the rapid development of classified tools, algorithms, and prototype capabilities to support quick-response R&D against emerging intelligence issues. Primary Responsibilities Engineer, test, and develop tool prototypes to advance multi-INT processing technologies, analysis support, and mission operations Leverage proficiency in software development using industry standards, open source, and emerging toolsets to perform multi-INT rapid prototyping, experiment support, and tool development Support Enterprise lab efforts to innovate in high performance computing incorporating graphics processing units (GPU) Employ knowledge and experience in multiple formats, imagery server development, web service interfaces, and tool-suites to perform R&D for proof-of-concept experiments Transition prototyping technologies into operational use Other related supporting duties as required Basic Qualifications U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with a polygraph required Typically requires BS and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience Current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+) Unix, Linux, and/or Windows based OS and application management Experience with constructive, collaborative approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with other leaders Preferred Qualifications Mission-specific technical knowledge and operations experience (incl. DEC VMS and/or Alpha) Proven experience and proficiency with one or more of the following disciplines in an enterprise environment: Unix, Linux, and/or Windows based OS and application management Script development and implementation (e.g. PyThon, BaSH, XML) Troubleshooting of complex and interconnected systems Usage and support of Enterprise Maintenance Management tool(s) Ability to develop technical solutions through deep analysis and understanding of impact to the end-product/solution Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment to achieve day-to-day objectives that significantly impact operational results and deliverables Deep understanding and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of domain related mission operations and a broad understanding of dependent domains All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to sex, race, ethnicity, age, national origin, citizenship, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, family structure, marital status, ancestry, domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran or military status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
