Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Appian Associate for a remote full-time position supporting the General Services Administration (GSA). This role involves:
- Working with senior leaders to scope and design Appian solutions that meet our client’s expectations and business needs.
- Leading scrum teams to deliver on-time solutions following an agile methodology and developing software solutions as a member of a software delivery team.
- Mentoring and developing Junior Appian Developers while maintaining technical knowledge.
Qualifications
- 2+ years leading software development teams implementing Appian.
- Experience in database and system integration.
- 4-6 years working on software development engagements (Appian preferred).
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Higher-level ability to analyze tables and views; advanced database knowledge – stored procedures, triggers, functions, & explain plan.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as software engineering, engineering, computer science, etc.
Requirements
- Good communication skills.
- Appian Level 2 certification.
- Scrum Training & SQL, Performance Tools, Automation Testing.
- Experience in requirement discovery, data modeling, and the design and build of BPM applications.
- Ability to architect on a small-scale project, including knowledge of plugins and external systems/APIs.
- Mentorship skills.
- Ability to deliver insightful code reviews, propose alternative solutions for better efficiency, technical scalability, and functional scalability.
- Ability to assess how created/updated Appian objects and pull requests fit into the bigger picture, spot major logic errors, and suggest opportunities for refactoring.
- Ability to give constructive reviews and help implement better alternatives while influencing coding guidelines based on experience.
