Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will utilize evidence-based practice to provide skilled rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, assess patient progress, and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative treatment interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and document treatment outcomes in clinical records.
• Consult with patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Participate in patient care conferences and meetings.
• Document regulatory and clinical required information in the electronic documentation system.
• Supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible 8-hour days, Monday through Friday.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation preferred.
• Active PTA license required.
• New graduates considered with Level II experience.
