An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior RF/Microwave Test Engineer to join our engineering characterization team in the RF Microelectronics/Module Development & Foundry Services (RFMicro) department at Raytheon in Andover, MA. This department develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter -wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

The successful candidate will be a member of a team of multi-disciplined engineers, designing test systems and performing on-wafer and fixtured testing of GaN and GaAs semiconductor devices and MMICs, for RF modules for radar applications, communications equipment and EW systems. This would be in active support of existing technologies in production as well as next generation products in development. This role requires a strong  understanding of RF/Microwave electronics, test equipment, network analysis using the Keysight PNA-X, and Labview programming.

What You Will Do:

\n

·         Perform RF/microwave/millimeter -wave measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, modules and MMICs (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits)

\n

·         Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements

\n

·         Assemble RF/microwave/millimeter -wave test systems

\n

·         Use software to control test equipment and plot test results

\n

·         Support the MMIC and module design teams

\n

·         Mentor less experienced test engineers

\n
\n

Qualifications You Must Have:

\n

·         Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

\n

·         A minimum of 5 (five) years of prior relevant experience in RF/microwave/mm-wave test.

\n

·         The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

\n

·         Experience with RF/Microwave test equipment such as Performance Network Analyzers (PNAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Noise Figure Analyzers, Load-Pull systems etc

\n

·         Experience with GaAs and/or GaN MMIC devices

\n

·         Experience/coursework in one or more of the following: RF/microwave engineering, microwave systems, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components

\n

·         Experience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS

\n

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.\n
