The Rising Roots AmeriCorps Program purpose is to care for the earth and the people who live here by growing food in community gardens in Washington County, MS. The program director will supervise AmeriCorps volunteers, complete required reporting, plan and lead weekly workforce development and food access trainings, ensure gardens are well maintained and producing at least 4,000 pounds of produce each year, record daily progress of program accomplishments, manage volunteer timekeeping and personnel records as outlined by federal AmeriCorps regulations, and ensure day-to-day compliance with the rules and regulation of AmeriCorps.
