Addiction Psychiatrist - Mill Spring, NC

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Mill Spring, North Carolina

We are seeking a Board-Certified Addiction Psychiatrist to join a mission-driven behavioral health and addiction treatment organization as an Associate Medical Director. This leadership-focused role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals recovering from substance use disorders while supporting clinical operations and multidisciplinary care teams.

• Assist the Medical Director in overseeing clinical operations and patient care.

• Provide outpatient psychiatric and addiction medicine services.

• Supervise detoxification and recovery-focused treatment plans.

• Collaborate with nursing, medical, and behavioral health teams.

• Participate in on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and accreditation standards.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

• Provide education and support to patients, families, and staff

• MD or DO with active North Carolina and South Carolina licensure

• Board Certification in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry or ASAM certification

• Strong clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment

• Experience with detox, dual diagnosis, and recovery-based care models

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
