Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience with middle school-aged students, preferably in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and their implementation.
- Positive, patient, and collaborative approach when working with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- RN license is a plus, highlighting a commitment to student well-being and holistic support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students' strengths and needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on assessment data and feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development.
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and district staff to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and school guidelines.
- Provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where every learner can thrive.
