Police OfficerThe City of Johnson City invites you to apply to start your career as a Johnson City Police Officer. The Johnson City Police Department, located in the 8th largest city in Tennessee, is home to approximately 180 sworn and civilian employees who are dedicated to protecting the community. Anyone interested in working for the City of Johnson City Police Department, must meet the minimum requirements for the position and pass the testing process. Upon completion of the recruit training, you will be responsible for protective services work as well as the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes. This work may involve personal risk and requires sound, independent judgment in all situations. All uniforms and equipment are provided by the department. In addition, you will be issued a take home patrol car.
