Associate Cost Analyst, Onshore Operations

We encourage you to apply for the positions for which you meet the qualifications.Job Summary The Associate Cost Analyst will support the Onshore Operations teams and will be accountable for facilitating the monthly operating expense (OPEX) outlook process. The position will leverage established tools, systems, and processes to coordinate, consolidate, and maintain the monthly OPEX outlook, providing transparency into expected operational spending and supporting effective financial planning and performance management. The role will work closely with Operations, Accounting, and Management Information Systems to ensure timely and accurate outlooks that support company performance and financial goals.Responsibilities Prepares financial performance reports for management and associated analysis.Performs financial analysis of key business initiatives and strategic objectives.Supports finance and planning needs in the AssetCoordinate with field personnel to ensure accurate data entry.Serve as the subject matter expert for relevant SAP systems and processes to ensure business needs are fulfilled.Manage and track all group/team KPI’s as required.Performs budgeting, forecasting, long range planning and variance review activities.Identify and perform gap analysis on variations between actuals versus budgets to advise internal clients accordingly.Operate with a high degree of independence and autonomy, demonstrated by strong planning, organizational, time management and decision-making skillsImplement, administer, and maintain CAPEX and OPEX control processes to track and report project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and accruals. Perform ad hoc financial support/review as needed Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience in oil and gas financial and cost analysis within field operationsProficiency with SAP required, preferably in modules related to cost management, project systems and financialsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Knowledge of applications, technologies, and tools for gathering, reporting, analyzing, and forecasting data, such as Hyperion, Spotfire, etc. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong verbal and written communication skills to partner effectively with field operations, engineering, and managementWorking knowledge of cost accounting conceptsApplied knowledge of planning & cost analysisThe individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.
